Volunteer for Project Cornerstone

Volunteering Commitment & Requirements

The program requires commitment of 2-3 hours every month for the academic year.

Responsibilities of ABC volunteers are:

  • Complete a two-hour Assets 101 course (once only)
  • Complete and sign the Project Cornerstone/YMCA volunteer application, code of conduct, and volunteer agreement.
  • Attend a monthly preparation meeting (1 hr)
  • Each month read a selected book in your assigned classroom, lead the students in a discussion and complete an activity based on the provided lesson plan (1hr)

All volunteers must be trained and meet the district and school volunteer policies
